PMA cadet found dead: police

A Philippine Military Academy cadet died at the Fort Del Pilar Station Hospital on Wednesday morning.
In a statement, Major Reynan Afan, PMA acting public affairs chief, said he was Cadet Fourth Class Darwin Dormitorio, 20, from Cagayan de Oro City.
Report from Baguio City Police Office shows that based on initial investigation Dormitorio started vomiting and complaining of stomach ache while inside their barracks around 1 am.
According to a report from PMA, Dormotorio was found unconscious inside Room 209 at the Mayo Hall Annex around 3:40 am.
Dormitorio arrived at the station hospital around 4 am and declared dead around 5:15 am.
The report said based on initial findings Dormitorio's death was due to "cardiac arrest secondary to internal hemorrhage."
Following his death the Room 209 of Mayo Hall, the place was declared off limits and considered a crime scene while the commandant of cadets ordered the restrictive confinement of the upper class and fourth class squadmates of Dormitorio for investigation.
The PMA did not say how many cadets were confined for investigation.
"PMA assures the public that every cadets overall well being is constantly and systematically being considered in every aspect of education and training," he said.
"He (Dormitorio) is a treasured cadet of the PMA community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dermitorio's family," he added. Robina Asido/DMS
