PMA head willing to quit if ordered by Duterte

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Superintendent Lt. Gen. Ronnie Evangelista is willing to resign if ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte.
If the president said I am relieved, I cannot do anything... if I have to resign then I will resign, I will not have any choice I am a soldier," he said.
I was appointed by the president, of course the president can also take my position. If he said that he no longer want me, that would be the time that I will leave. We are not like civilians that can just resign at anytime," he added.
However, Evangelista expressed hope he will be given a chance to finish the current problem in the academy.
"I am just hopeful that if there is such (order for me to resign), I hope we finish this first like what I've said I never back down in the middle of firefight. Let's finish it first since we are here at the middle of the crisis," he said.
Following the death of PMA Cadet Fourth Class Darwin Dormitorio due to alleged hazing, Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said Evangelista should resign. Robina Asido/DMS
