PN receives food packs, PPEs from Makati Medical Center Foundation

The Philippine Navy received food packs and other personal protective equipment from the Makati Medical Center (MMC) Foundation.
Lt. Commander Maria Christina Roxas,Navy spokesman, said the MMC Foundation through its executive director, Marge Barro, donated thousands of food packs and other personal protective equipment to the Philippine Navy on Tuesday.
She said the donations will be properly turned over to the Naval Task Group-National Capital Region for front liner troops and health workers.
Roxas said donation includes from MMC includes 1,750 pieces of surgical masks, 700 pieces of dust masks, six boxes of goggles, 600 pieces of grocery packs (composed of rice, coffee and canned goods), and 20 boxes of bottled water.
"MMC Foundation is the PN's partner during HADR operations. With the enhanced community quarantine, our PN troops and health workers are now deployed in the different Quarantine Assistance Stations to ensure the preventive measures on the
COVID-19," she said.
"The Philippine Navy in partnership with our stakeholders ensures the good physical readiness of our personnel and health workers in the frontlines as we serve the country in this global pandemic times," she added. Robina Asido/DMS
