PNP assures it will hunt down girl’s killer in Cebu

The Philippine National Police (PNP) said it will hold the killers of a 16-year-old girl in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu accountable.
In an interview Tuesday, Senior Superintendent Bernard Banac, the PNP spokesman, said police are trying to identify and arrest the suspects who killed Chrstine Lee Silawan.
“You can be assured that PNP will go after the suspects,” he told reporters.
Silawan, a Grade 9 student of Maribago National High School, was found dead at a vacant lot in Barangay Bakal,
The skin of half of her face was torn off. She also sustained multiple stab wounds.
Banac believes those who did this horrible deed could have been high on illegal drugs. DMS
