PNP deploys vehicles to help stranded commuters

The Philippine National Police ( PNP) has ordered the immediate deployment of four coasters, one bus and four trucks to to help people go home after all train services in the metropolis were stopped due to the 6.1 earthquake.
In an order Monday night, Police General Oscar Albayalde directed Police Major General Edwin Roque, PNP Director for Logistics to send these vehicles to help stranded commuters from Cubao to Monumento and Cubao to Pasay.
The PNP asked the public to remain calm, its spokesman said,
“In view of the earthquake felt at around 5:13 pm today, the PNP asks the public to remain calm; follow the drill and procedures on earthquake if necessary,” Police Colonel Bernard Banac said in a message to reporters.
“We assure our people that the PNP will stay to provide security, remain alert, and ready to respond for any call for help,” he added. Ella Dionisio/DMS
