PNP-HPG share traffic management duties with MMDA starting Monday

Starting Monday, the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) will share traffic management duties with the Metro Manila Development Authority ( MMDA) along Edsa.
The PNP-HPG will deploy 200 cops, of which 25 are women. Edsa from Timog to Ortigas will be under the PNP-HPG while the MMDA will handle traffic from Timog to Balintawak and Ortigas to Pasay.
The PNP-HPG will start operations from 5 am to 11 pm in two shifts but they can extend until 1 am if traffic is heavy.
