PNP says no proposal from Mislatel to set up communications facilities in camps
September 24, 2019
The Philippine National Police ( PNP) said they did not receive any offer from the Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company (Mislatel) in building communication facilities inside police camps.
“We have not signed any MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) with the telecom company,” said Police General Oscar Albayalde in a press briefing Monday.
“We did not have receive any communication from them here in PNP,” he added.
The PNP chief was asked after the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) allowed Mislatel to build its communication facilities inside military camps which suddenly caused controversy after Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said he was not aware of such an agreement.
Lorenzana said he will investigate this. Ella Dionisio/DMS
