PNP says no word if cops will get “Christmas bonus”
December 18, 2018
Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde said there are no news from the executive department if cops will receive "Christmas bonus" this year.
"How we wish (but) none. As of this time, there is no information," Albayalde said in an ambush interview in Camp Crame.
"Well, maybe that's a Christmas wish," the chief PNP joked.
During the term of PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa on December 2016, it was reported key officials received "bonus" from Malacanang amounting to at least P100,000 each.
But Dela Rosa and Malacanang denied this, saying they don't have funds. Ella Dionisio/DMS
