PNP to look into why officer hurt three cops who refused to follow orders during Traslacion

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Oscar Albayalde on Thursday said they are investigating the incident where a Manila Police Department officer allegedly hurt three cops for disobeying him during the Traslacion on Wednesday.
“That is being investigated. What they are saying (is) because initially he give orders that they (policemen) should be there during Traslacion and they did not follow,” Albayalde said in a press conference in Quezon City.
The PNP director general said Chief Inspector Alden Panganiban, commander of MPD station 11, gave instructions but members of the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit and Regional Support Unit refused to follow him.
“It looks like he lost his patience but we have to check on what he really did,” he said.
Albayalde said the three policemen will be investigated why they not follow the order.
“They will also be charged for non-compliance of a legal directive. If you are being given directives by your commander, you should follow,” he said.
The PNP chief said the police officers who got hurt can also file charges against the commander
“If they really think it is a crime against person because of physical injury. If they will be filing a case against their commander then let it be,” he said. “We will check on the matter with the administrative side,” said Albaylde. Robina Asido/DMS
