PNP to make sure no illegal firecrackers will enter country

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said it will make sure no illegal firecrackers and fireworks will enter the country.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Lorenzo Kim Cobre, officer-in-charge of the PNP-Explosive Management Division ng Firearms and Explosives Office, explained all manufactured firecrackers and fireworks are inspected by police.
"We inspect all manufacturers and storage to make sure that all products circulated in the market are manufactured here in the Philippines," he said.
"We also see to it that the source of the ingredients used for the firecrackers are legal," he added. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
