PNP waiting for ”next step” after Senate Blue Ribbon releases report on 2013 Pampanga drug raid

The Philippine National Police ( PNP) on Friday said it is waiting for the ''next step'' in the case after the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee released its report on so-called "ninja cops" where Senator Richard Gordon said Police General Oscar Albayalde is "very liable'' as being part of the raid.
Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac, the PNP spokesperson, said: "Let's just wait on the next step (in the case)...he ( Albayalde) is still part of the PNP."
Since this is a legal process and Albayalde stepped down as the PNP chief, Banac said they will let his lawyer speak for him.
"We are sure his legal counsel will answer (the allegations)," he added.
Banac said they will lose jurisdiction over Albayalde once he retires on November 8." He will not be part of PNP anymore," Banac said.
