September 23, 2019
The Philippine National Police ( PNP) on Monday welcomed the 82 percent satisfaction rating of Filipinos on the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
Police General Oscar Albayalde, the PNP chief, said this showed the public’s appreciation on efforts by law enforcement agencies.
“Consistently, for the third consecutive year, since 2017, there is popular public acknowledgement of the national crusade against illegal drugs,” said Albayalde.
He said the result is a valid recognition of the efforts of government to stamp out this social problem.
“This goes to show that our people, they appreciate our campaign and also all other law enforcement agency involved in anti-illegal drug operations,” he said.
“They saw how serious we are in our campaign against illegal drugs. We are very happy and thankful on the community that they appreciate their effort against illegal drugs,” he added.
On Sunday, Social Weather Stations said they found 82 percent of Filipinos were satisfied with the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs while 12 percent were dissatisfied and six percent were undecided.
“This gives a net satisfaction rating of +70, classified by SWS as excellent,” the survey said. Ella Dionisio/DMS
