Ten foreigners were nabbed inside a club in Manila Wednesday night for working without necessary documents.
The Manila Police District arrested nine Russian nationals and one Kazakhstan national in Sha-Sha Club along Malate around 9:40 pm for working without proper permits.
Arrested were Ekaterina Golubeva, Polina Tagunova, Anna Mozharevskaya, Anastasia Bakumenko, Aleksandra Ivanova, Zukhra Akhmedzianova, Alexandra Zivittinsh, Diana Razogreeva, Anna Nikitina, and Ussipbek Kymbat.
According to Manila Police District chief Brigadier General Vicente Danao Jr., the nabbed foreigners were working as "entertainers" for the club.
"The above named foreign nationals have no working visa," Danao said.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Article H, Section 98 (Professional Occupation Tax) and Article E, Section 138 (Health Certificate) in connection of Section 199 in the 2013 Omnibus Revenue Code of the City of Manila.
Danao also added that the club "failed to comply with the necessary permits as provided for under the 2013 Omnibus Revenue Code of the City of Manila."
"Manila City Administrator Felixberto Espiritu said they will work with the Bureau of Immigration to verify the status of these foreign nationals," Manila Public Information Office Chief Julius Leonen said. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
