Police arrest Maguindanao Massacre suspect in Maguindanao

A suspect in the 2009 Maguindanao Massacre was arrested by police in Barangay Kabinge, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Magundanao on Monday.

Faisal Dimaukom, aka Kagi Faizal, male and 42 years old, was arrested at 5:05 am, the Philippine National Police Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao said,

One F1 fragmentation hand grenade was recovered in his possession. Kagi Faizal was turned over to the Parang Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

At least 80 are still at large in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre where 57 were killed. 

On December 19, 2019  the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on Thursday rendered its judgment finding Datu Andal Ampatuan Jr., a former Maguindanao town mayor, his siblings and several others guilty for the murder of 57 people, including 31 journalist, in November 23, 2009.
