March 16, 2020
Police arrested a 55-year-old man Monday morning after he complained about the thermal scanning being done by cops due to the community quarantine imposed by the government in Metro Manila along McArthur Highway, Malanday, Valenzuela.
Arrested was Dionisio Bonote who cursed the police officer who tried to take his temperature. A statement by the National Capitol Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Bonote cursed in the vernacular.
''The unruly suspect also resisted the apprehension that caused alarms from the others,'' the NCRPO said.
''Complaints for resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, alarms and scandals and unjust vexation in relation to E. O. 028-C (Community Quarantine) will be filed against Bonote,'' the NCRPO said.
Police Major General Debold Sinas, the NCRPO director, reminded the public to maintain composure while police officers perform their duties.
"We ask for your cooperation and patience,'' he said. DMS
