Police arrest suspect in shooting of barangay watchman

Authorities on Monday arrested a suspect in the shooting of barangay watchman in Abra.

According to a police report, Jay Echave Villamor of Barangay Poblaccion in the nunicipality of Lagangilang, was walking with a companion when a suspect shot Villamor

Villamor managed to escape the attack while the suspect fled.

Lagangilang police nabbed the suspect identified as Narciso Lopez during a manhunt operation.

Police recovered a homemade pistol which had one fired shell and two pieces of live ammunition.

Police said an old grudge against the victim and the suspect's drunken state led to the attack.
