Police arrest suspected terrorist in General Santos City

Police arrested a suspected member of the Ansar Khalifa Philippines (AKP) Islamic militant group  in Dadiangas East, General Santos City  on Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Jamio Sala alias Jamiung, was nabbed by policemen in Barangay Dadiangas East at around 7:30 p.m., according to a report from the regional police office. Sala allegedly was linked to an explosion in Maasim, Sarangani on June 20, 2016 that killed a policeman and a bombing incident in Sept. 16, 2016 that wounded seven persons.

A fragmentation grenade was confiscated from Sala.  DMS
