Police arrest suspects of killing of three in Bulacan

A mother and her children were found dead in their home in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan Wednesday evening but police were to apprehend the suspects.

Police Colonel Chito Bersaluna, the provincial director said around 8:30 evening the bodies of Jaymee Casabuena, 28, and her children, Anton, 8 and Joaquin, 4, were found at Carisa 2a, Barangay Kaypian.

Authorities found the bodies almost bloated and believed to be dead for several hours.

Bersaluna said the massacre were solved within eight hours.

He said suspect Wilson Nosal, 23, was arrested around on 4:30 am Thursday in a joint follow-up operation by San Jose Del Monte City police station and the Bulacan National Bureau of Investigation agents at Brgy 185 Malaria in Caloocan City.

Bersaluna said Nosal's alleged cohort, Joselito Cortez was arrested along the boundary of Baranagay San Manuel around 7 am.

He said statements from several witnesses led to the identity and arrest of the two suspects.

According to a witness who said she is a neighbor of the Casabuenas, she heard persons knocking at the victim’s house last April 2 around 9 pm.

Around 10pm, two playmates of the victims saw two persons from the house of the victims and they asked if the son of Jaymee was there.

"According also to Jaymee’s cousin, Jaymee texted her and asked why Wilson was at their house with a companion and they are both drunk," Bersaluna said.

Nosal was known to the victim as a live-in partner of a relative.

When police questioned the suspects, they said their initially planned to rob her but Casabuena resisted which resulted to their deaths due to many stab wounds.

Nosal admitted the crime and revealed Cortez is his cohort.

He said they asked the victim for water first as they came from work thirsty before doing the crime where they stole her cellphone and sold it for P200 pesos.

Authorities said the suspect’s bloodied clothes were recovered at the crime scene and at the creek where Cortez was arrested.
