Legazpi City police on Tuesday filed a criminal complaint against a vlogger who pretended to be a 2019 nCov victim and laid down inside a mall last Sunday.
Police Major Ma. Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson, said a complaint of "alarm and scandal" complaint was filed against the person identified as Marlon De Vera at the City Prosecutor's Office.
"Legazpi CPS is the one who filed a criminal complaint against '2019 nCov prankster' through regular filing at City Prosecutor's Office this morning," Calubaquib said.
In a report, De Vera laid down at the entrance of a mall in Legazpi City around 6 pm pretending to be sick while his companion took a video.
Mall customers left because of fear.
De Vera was not arrested because the incident was settled between him and the mall management.
The suspect through his Facebook page apologized for his actions. Ella Dionisio/DMS
