Police file sedition charges vs Robredo, de Lima others over narcolist videos

Police criminal investigators on Thursday filed inciting to sedition charges before the Department of Justice against Vice President Leonor Robredo, Senators Leila de Lima, Risa Hontiveros, former senator Antonio Trillanes IV and several others over a video allegedly linking members of the family of President Rodrigo Duterte to illegal drugs.

In the letter-complaint, the PNP-CIDG ( Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group) asked the justice department to prosecute the respondents for inciting to sedition, cyber libel, libel estafa, harboring a criminal, and obstruction of justice.

Also named as respondents were opposition senatorial candidates Gary  Alejano, Florin Hilbay, Romulo Macalintal, Jose Manuel Diokno, Paolo Benigno Aquino, Samira Gutoc-Tomawis, and Lorenzo Tañada III.

Included as respondent and named as witness is Peter Joemel Advincula, who claims he is "Bikoy", the hooded man in the "Ang Totoong Narcolist" videos which tagged some family members of Duterte in illegal drugs.

The PNP-CIDG submitted the sworn statement of Advincula detailing his supposed meetings with the respondents and how they planned the so-called “Project Sodoma.”

Advincula initially identified former Davao city vice mayor and now congressman Paolo Duterte, lawyer Manases Carpio-husband of Davao city mayor Sara Duterte Carpio, and former presidential assistant and now Senator Christopher ''Bong'' Go as among those involved in the narcotics trade.

In filing the complaint, the PNP-CIDG cited the sworn statement of Advincula saying he met with personalities to plan “Project Sodoma.”

“As averred by Mr. Advincula, he was engaged by the respondents to spread lies against the President, his family and close associates, making them to appear as illegal drug trade protectors and how they earned staggering amounts of money,” stated the complaint signed by Police Lt. Colonel Arnold Thomas Ibay of the PNP-CIDG.

The complaint said Project Sodoma was planned in August 2018  as part of a plan to allegedly discredit candidates of Hugpong ng Pagbabago, while propping up those from the opposition. DMS
