Police nab three, seize P1.5m worth of shabu in Makati

Police seized P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation Friday in Makati City.
Police Colonel Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief, said the buy-bust conducted around 4 pm along M. Reyes street corner Belarmino, Barangay Bangkal led to the arrest of three suspects.
Police said the suspects were Melvin Bulado, a 22 year-old Shopwise merchandiser; John Arman Revidad a 22 year-old student of business administration of Pasay University; and Edgardo Fontanilla.
Makati police station drug enforcement unit confiscated four transparent plastic sachet of shabu used for the transaction with the police, three large and 116 small sachets of suspected shabu, a plastic sachet of marijuana worth P2,000, a glass tube, and P5,000 worth of buy-bust money.
Authorities also recovered a caliber .40 gun, nine pieces of live ammunition of the same caliber, a caliber .45 magazine, a mobile phone, and a vehicle with plate number BEX 952.
"The arrested suspects were detained at the Makati City Police Station custodial facility," Simon said.
Police Brigadier General Eliseo Cruz, Southern Police District director, lauded the successful operation.
