Police officer arrested after shooting two cops in QC

A police officer was arrested after he shot two policemen in Quezon City Thursday morning.
Major Regino Maramag Jr., Cubao Police station 7 commander, said the suspect was Lieutenant Emmanuel Jovero, 24, who is recovering from wounds sustained in a shootout along 1st Street in Barangay Bagong Lipunan ng Crame around 5:30 a.m.
Four policemen rushed to the scene in response to a reported hostage-taking incident.
As the policemen entered a house where Jovero was staying, the officer fired, wounding Corporals Jhon Mark Forayo and Romeo Tandayu.
Jovero and the other wounded policemen were rushed to the Philippine National Police General Hospital at Camp Crame for medical treatment. DMS
