Police officer, wife found dead in Palawan

A police officer was found dead minutes after allegedly killing his wife in Palawan City on Wednesday, a regional Philippine National Police ( PNP) spokesman said.
Lt. Colonel Socrates Faltado of the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) regional police, said the dead persons were Police Corporal Raymond Cacho and his wife, Karen.
Cacho was assigned at Regional Mobile Force Battalion- Mimaropa.
Faltado said the incident transpired around 10:10 am at the Sports Complex located at Barangay Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City.
Initial report disclosed personnel from Police Station 2 heard four gunshots from the grandstand. They saw the couple lying on the stairs with gunshot wounds in their heads and one pistol with imprinted PNP.
“Responding police quickly cordoned and secured the area then immediately called an ambulance while the investigator requested for SOCO ( scene of the crime operatives) personnel to process the crime scene,” he said.
“According to the bystanders, they saw the suspect sitting at the back of the victim and suddenly stood up and shoot towards the ceiling then shot the victim on the head,” he added.
The suspect then shot himself in the head, they added.
