Police release facial composite, CCTV of couple’s abductors in Zamboanga del Sur

ZAMBOANGA CITY - Police on Monday released the facial composite and closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of two persons of interest in the abduction of the British and his wife in Zamboanga del Sur.

Maj. Helen Galvez, Zamboanga regional police spokesperson, said facial composite of one of the two persons of interest was based on the description of witnesses.

“He is one of the four who seized the victims at gun point,” Galvez said.

Galvez said the second person of interest was traced through CCTV footage of the nearby convenience store and corroborated by one of the witnesses as among those who seized the couple.

She disclosed that the second person of interest went to the convenience store before the incident and accidentally left a receipt at the resort.  

“He is one of the two who checked in at the resort and one of those who abducted the victims based on the accounts of witnesses,” she added.

Allan Arthur Hyrons, 70, and his wife, Wilma, were seized around 6:50 p.m. Friday in the family-owned resort in Barangay Alindahaw, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

The couple were seized by four gunmen and dragged towards the resort’s beachfront where two others were waiting on two motorboats.

One of the two motorboats sped towards Lanao while the other to the direction of Pagadian City.

Galvez disclosed that no one has claimed responsibility in the abduction. DMS
