Police seize 22 pieces of marijuana in bricks, tubes in Mt. Province

LA TRINIDAD-- Police took three persons for questioning after 22 pieces of marijuana in bricks and in tubes were seized at a checkpoint along the Bontoc-Kalinga Road at Sitio Cheta, Bontoc Ili, Mountain Province on Sunday morning.
Paolalphiny Octavio, 20, a student at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, Jaden Residuo, 20, and John Loyd Rosales, 21, both from Buli, Muntinlupa City were brought for questioning after they were flagged down with marijuana bricks and tubes while on a jeepney plying the Tinglayan – Bontoc route.
Police were tipped off prompting Bontoc cops and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Mt. Province office to create a checkpoint.
Seized ere 18 pieces of marijuana bricks and four pieces of marijuana in tubes weighing 20,004 kilos estimated at P2,400,480, drug paraphernalia, assorted IDs and three cellular phones. DMS
