Police with no admin and criminal cases can enjoy yearend bonus: PNP
November 15, 2019
Police personnel can enjoy their yearend bonus but cops with pending administrative and criminal cases will unlikely to enjoy benefits.
This was announced in a statement by Philippine National Police ( PNP) following the approval of Police Lieutenant General Archie Francisco Gamboa, PNP officer-in-charge, of the release of P7.4 billion for the yearend bonus of its personnel Friday.
Police Major General Jose Victor Ramos, director for comptrollership, said about P7,481,118,702.86 was allotted for the 2019 yearend bonus of 205,189 uniformed and non-uniformed PNP personnel nationwide.
"The yearend bonus is equivalent to the amount of the monthly basic salary of each personnel along with the mandated P5,000 cash gift from the national government," the PNP said.
"However, the yearend bonuses for PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases have been put on hold as part of PNP disciplinary policy," it added.
Police Brigadier General Joselito Vera Cruz, director of finance service, said PNP personnel who are not yet enrolled in the ATM payroll system will receive their individual cheques through their regional finance service offices.
The yearend bonus has been credited to the ATM payroll accounts of each non-uniformed and uniformed police personnel through the Land Bank of the Philippines. Ella Dionisio/DMS
