Pre-trial for alleged mastermind on death of two Japanese set for Sept 6

Thursday's pre-trial for Hiroyuki Nagahama, the alleged mastermind on the death of two Japanese in Culion, at the Palawan Regional Trial Court Branch 49 was reset to September 6.
Judge Arnel Cezar granted the joint motion of Nagahama's lawyer Joel Tan and Prosecutor Herminia Caabay to allow the other suspects under police custody to be committed to jail and arraigned. Their arraignment has also been set for September 6.
The suspects are Reynante Labampa alias Buboy, Jose Ibayat Vizcarra alias Jovis Viscarra, Bernardo Radam alias and Carlo Diaz alias Jhun.
Vizcarra, the alleged gunman, was arraigned Thursday with the aid of public attorney Walter Avillanosa. Vizacarra pleaded not guilty for two counts of murder and illegal possesion of fire arms.
A suspect, Sonny Tatan Anicete, remains at large. DMS
