PSE index declines for sixth session

The main Philippine share index fell for the sixth trading session on Monday.
The peso finished at P50.80 against the US dollar from P50.83 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exhange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $ 1.073 billion from $956.8 million on the previous transaction.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index settled at 7,137.03 points, down 63.76 points. In the broader market, there were 129 losers, 73 gainers and 39 unchanged.
Volume reached 833.35 million shares worth P5.9 billion from Friday's 2.8 billion shares valued at P8.3 billion.
Most active shares were led by Manila Water, up 60 centavos to P12.76; SM Prime, unchanged at P38.90; Ayala Land, down 65 centavos to P40.95 and Metrobank, down P1.30 to P56.05. DMS
