PSE index down, peso unchanged at P50.89 vs US dollar

Philippine stocks declined while the peso closed unchanged at P50.89 against the US dollar on Wednesday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed at 8,045.80, down 104.66 points. In the broader market, there were 137 losers, 68 gainers and 45 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 2.07 billion shares worth P7.45 billion from Tuesday's 754.80 million shares valued at P6.87 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, down P1.00 to P36.50; Filinvest Development Co., down 0.02 centavos to P13.96; Ayala Land, down P1.30 to P49.80 and Jollibee Food Corp., up P4.00 to P259. DMS
