PSE index ends at two-month high

The Philippine Stock Exchange index closed at a two-month high of 7, 413.63 points, up 15.76, on Tuesday.
At the broader market, there were 1.18 million shares valued at P7.6 billion from the previous day's 1.7 billion shares worth P6.88 billion.
Most active shares were led by Metrobank, up 3.64 percent to P76.95; Ayala Land, down 1.45 percent to P40.90 and SM Investment Corp., unchanged at P915.
The peso declined to P52.605 against the US dollar from Monday's P52.35. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines rose to $1.066 billion from the previous session of $755.04 million. DMS
