PSE index ends flat

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) Index ended flat but the broader market was higher on Friday.
The peso finished at P50.72 against the US dollar from P50.85 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $270.5 million from $424.9 million.
The PSE index closed at 5,346.97 points, up 4.66 points. In the broader market, there were 98 gainers, 74 losers and 39 unchanged.
Volume reached 293.30 million shares worth P4.03 billion from, Thursday’s 384.02 million shares valued at P4.4 blllion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Corp., up P1.00 to P451; Puregold, up P2.30 to P38.70; Ayala Land, down 30 centavos to P32 and BDO, down 70 centavos to P99.30. DMS
