PSE index ends flat, peso at P49.41:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) ended flat on Tuesday as it closed 0.24 points higher to 6,172.81.
In the broader market, there were 126 losers, 87 gainers and 29 unchanged.
Volume reached 5.8 billion shares worth P5.13 billion from Monday's 907 million shares valued at P4.64 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Investment Corp., down P5 to P935; BDO, up P1.35 to P92.85, Puregold, down P1.40 to P48 and Ayala Land, up P1.10 to P33.50.
The peso closed at P49.41 against the US dollar from P49.47 on Monday. Volume reached $641.7 million from the previous day's $760.73 million at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines. DMS
