PSE index ends flat, peso at P50.631 vs US dollar

The Philippines main share index closed flat on Wednesday.
The peso ended at P 50.631 against the US dollar from P50.58. Volume at the foreign exchange portal at the Bankers Association of the Philippines ( BAP) reached $762.1 million from $670.14 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index finished at 7,733.67 points, down 3.22 points. In the broader market, there were 93 gainers, 91 losers and 59 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.49 billion worth P7.8 billion from Tuesday's 2.71 billion shares valued at P 10.37 billion.
Most active shares were led by Manila Water Co., up 85 centavos to P6.85; Ayala Land, unchanged at P45,75; BDO, down P3 to P158 and BPI, down P1.50 to P83.10. DMS
