PSE index ends flat

The main Philippine share index ended flat on Friday.
The peso finished at P50.98 against the US dollar from P50.91 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal at the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $981.85 million from $1.093 billion on the previous day.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed 7.06 points higher to 7,623.41. In the broader market, there are 106 gainers, 70 losers and 60 unchanged.
Volume reached 847.15 million shares worth P5.7 billion from Thursday's 669.94 million shares valued at P6.6 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up 60 centavos to P41.40; SM Investment Corp., down P18 to P1,032 and SM Prime, up 10 centavos to P40.80. DMS
