PSE index ends higher

The main Philippine share index closed higher on Monday.
The peso closed at P50.83 against the US dollar from P50.815 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) reached $757 million from $835.75 million on the previous day.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index ended at 7,872.60 points, up 99.48 points. In the broader market, there were 128 gainers, 58 losers and 54 unchanged.
Volume reached 478.95 million shares worth P8.3 billion from Friday's 1,09 billion valued at P13.15 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up P1.25 to P 47.25; Security Bank, up P3.60 to P186.60 and ICTSI, down P1.70 to P128.30. DMS
