PSE index ends higher for second day

The main Philippine share index ended higher for the second straight day on Thursday.
The peso settled at P50.78 against the US dollar from P50.92. In the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines, volume amounted to $917.8 million from $930.6 million on the previous day.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished at 7, 506, up 153.66 points. In the broader market, there were 115 gainers, 70 losers and 46 unchanged.
Volume reached 6.22 billion shares worth P7.04 billion from Wednesday's 1.27 billion shares valued at P 9 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Investment Corp., unchanged at P1,000; Ayala Land, up P1.40 to P43.35; SM Prime, P2.35 to P41.95; Ayala Corp., up P16 to P760 and Manila Water up P1.34 to P14.96. DMS
