PSE index ends higher

The Philippine Stock Exchange index closed higher while ended slightly lower on Monday.
The index finished at 7, 675.47 points, up 33.70. In the broader market, there were 103 decliners and 94 gainers while 52 shares were unchanged.
Volume reached 1.02 billion shares worth P6.2 billion from Friday's 1.65 billion valued at P8.47 billion.
Most active shares were led ICTSI, unchanged at P113; Ayala Land, down 0.69 percent to P42.90 and SM Prime, up 1.45 percent to P38.50.
The peso closed at P51.72 against the US dollar from Friday's P51.7. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.093 billion from $872.31 million on Friday. DMS
