PSE index ends lower

The main Philippine share index ended lower on Tuesday.
The peso closed at P51,015 against the US dollar from P50.975 on Monday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.346 billion from the previous day's $1.559 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished 85.95 points lower to 7,466.65 points. In the broader market, there were 132 losers, 67 gainers and 38 unchanged.
Volume reached 741.11 million shares worth P7.76 billion from Monday's 913.66 million shares valued at P6.37 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down P1.00 to P39.50; SM Investment Corp., down P4,00 to P1,026 and Ayala Corp., down P35 to P715. DMS
