PSE index ends lower

The main Philippine share index ended lower on Thursday.
The peso closed at P50.635 against the US dollar from P50.631 on Wednesday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $998.7 million from the previous day's $762.1 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index finished at 7,653.94 points, down 79.73 points. In the broader market, there were 102 losers, 67 gainers and 63 unchanged.
Volume reached 591.79 million shares valued at P12.6 billion from Wednesday's 1.49 billion shares worth P7.8 billion.
Most active shares were led by Manila Water, up 90 centavos to P7,75; ICTSI, down P 3 to P130 and SM Investment Corp., down P20 to P1,035. DMS
