PSE index ends lower at the last trading day of 2019

The main Philippine share index ended lower on Friday, the last trading day of the year.
But the peso gained against the US dollar, closing at P50.635 from Thursday's P50.821. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.33 billion from the previous day's $1.076 billion,
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed at 7,815.26 points, down 27.02 points. In the broader market, there were 104 gainers, 86 losers and 43 shares unchanged.
Volume rose to 565.5 million worth P6.6 billion from Thursday's 911.47 million shares valued at P3.6 billion.
Most active shares were led by Manila Water, up 26 centavos to P10.36; SM Prime, up 60 centavos to P42.10; Ayala Land, down 90 centavos to P45.50 and SM Investment Corp., down P13 to P1,043. DMS
