PSE index ends slightly higher

The main Philippine share market ended slightly higher while the peso ended flat against the US dollar on Tuesday.
The peso closed at P52.15 from Monday's P52.185. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.225 billion from the previous day's $1.258 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index finished at 7,893.94, up 26.43 points. In the broader market, there are 132 losers, 80 gainers and 54 unchanged.
Volume reached 899.97 million shares worth P8.5 billion from Monday's 3.35 billion valued at P5.86 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, up P1.25 to P36.70; SM Investment Corp. unchanged at P1010 and Ayala Corp., up P11 to P900. DMS
