PSE index ends slightly higher

The main Philippine share index ended flat on Tuesday.
The peso closed at P50.695 against the US dollar from P50.78 on Monday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $662.5 million from the previous session's $581.4 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index settled at 7,439.40, up 8.54 points. In the broader market, there were 91 gainers, 89 losers and 45 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.3 billion shares worth P4.48 billion from Monday's 2.86 billion shares valued at P5.33 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down five centavos to P43.65; SM Prime, up 40 centavos to P42.73; ISM Communications, down 12 centavos to P2.23 and Manila Water, down 20 centavos to P12.88. DMS
