PSE index ends week above 8,000 points, peso at P52.07:$1

Philippine stocks mostly closed lower on Friday, but the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index managed to stay above the 8,000-point mark.
The peso closed at P52.07 against the US dollar from P52.24 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.232 billion from $1.268 billion on Thursday.
The PSE index settled at 8,070.89, down 29.41 points. In the broader market, there were 119 decliners, 98 gainers and 34 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 3.16 billion worth P7.8 billion from Thursday's 3.4 billion shares valued at P7.42 billion.
Most active shares were led by Vista Land, up 5 percent to P6.50; ICTSI, up 2.61 percent and Bloomberry Resorts, up 4.33 percent to P12.06. DMS
