PSE index ends week lower

The main Philippine share index ended lower on Friday.
The peso finised at P50.97 against the US dollar from P50.815 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.684 billion from $1.42 billion on the previous session.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed at 6,787.91 points, down 179.93 points. In the broader market, there were 160 losers, 50 gainers and 36 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.1 billion shares worth P11.4 billion from Thursday's 682.76 million shares valued at P8.4 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down P1.40 to P39; SM Prime, down 75 centavos to P38.30; SM Investment Corp., down P12.50 to P974.50 and BDO, down P4 to P139. DMS
