PSE index finishes lower

The main Philippine share index closed lower on Monday.
The peso settled at P50.835 against the US dollar from P50.815 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $787.95 million from $1.082 billion on Friday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished at 7,587.63 points, down 35.78 points. In the broader market, there were 119 losers, 69 gainers and 43 unchanged,
Volume reached 1.9 billion shares worth P4.3 billion from Friday's 847.15 million valued at P5.7 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up 20 centavos to P41,60; Philweb, up 33 centavos to P4.12 and Ayala Corp., down P2.00 to P738. DMS
