PSE index flat, peso slightly up vs US dollar

The main stock index ended flat while the peso slightly gained against the US dollar on Friday.
The peso finished at P52.18 from Wednesday's 52.20. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) reached $1.114 billion from the previous day's $912.33 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) ended 3.97 points lower at 7,911.32 points. In the broader market, there were 108 losers, 86 gainers and 53 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 453.90 million shares worth P4.12 billion from Wednesday's 451.06 million shares valued at P6.74 billion.
Most active shares were led by BPI, down 30 centavos to P93.20; Ayala Land, up 95 centavos to P49 and Ayala Corp., unchanged at P900.DMS
