PSE index, peso slightly lower

The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished 15.73 points lower to 7,750.42 points while the peso closed at P52.60 against the US dollar on Thursday.
In the broader market, there were 107 decliners, 77 gainers while 49 were unchanged.
Volume reached 1.8 billion shares worth P6 billion from Wednesday's 1.38 billion shares valued at P5.14 billion.
Most active shares were led by ICTSI, up 0.51 percent to P118.90; Ayala Land, down 0.12 percent to P42.80, JG Summit, down 2.37 percent to P61.70 and PLDT, up 1.16 percent to P1,132.
The peso ended five centavos lower from Wednesday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.202 billion from $1.755 billion. DMS
