PSE index, peso vs dollar end lower

The main Philippine share index ended lower on Thursday.
The peso settled at P50.831 against the US dollar from Wednesday's P50.715. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.224 billion from the previous day's $1.25 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished at 7,653.18, down 11.12 points. In the broader market, there were 112 losers, 89 gainers and 32 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.04 billion shares worth P6.4 billion from Wednesday's 667.02 million valued at P7.04 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down 30 centavos to P42.90; SM Investment Corp., down P10 to P1,050 and SM Prime, down 30 centavos to P40.40. DMS
