PSE index rebounds from big fall

The main Philippine share index rebounded from a big decline on Thursday.
The peso rose to P50.815 against the US dollar from P51,035. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.42 billion from $1.43 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index settled at 6,967.84, up 58 points. But in the broader market, there were 95 losers, 91 gainers and 45 unchanged.
Volume reached 682.76 million shares worth P8.45 billion from Thursday's 1.35 billion shares valued at P10.06 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up P1.75 to P40.40; BDO, up P6.00 to P143 and SM Prime, down 25 centavos to P39.05. DMS
