PSE index slid further, peso steady at P51.7:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index slid further while the Philippine remained at P51.70 against the US dollar on Friday.
The PSE index finished at 7,641.77 points, down 63.72 points. In the broader market, there were 114 decliners, 64 gainers and 60 shares were unchanged.
Volume reached 1.65 billion shares worth P8.47 billion from Thursday's 2.85 billion valued at P17.6 billion.
Most traded shares were led by BDO, down 3.05 percent to P123.70; Jollibee, up 0.39 percent to P309 and Macroasia, down 0.62 percent to P19.12.
Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $872.31 million from the previous day's $1.45 billion. DMS
